Cash Back Card
Credit Cards
Credit cards are a card given by financial institutions that have a certain amount in it, called a credit line. Customers are given a credit line based on their credit history and their capacity to pay. Usually, a good credit history also means that the customer will be given a good credit line.
Credit cards can be used to pay for goods while shopping, booking airplane tickets, and paying for services. There are different credit card types, and a cash back card is one of them. A cash back card is a type of credit card that rewards frequent users with cash from the purchases that they make.
Cash Back Cards
A cash back card is a great card to have, especially for those who use their credit cards frequently. A cash back card gives its user a certain percent of their purchases back into their card in terms of points, actual cash, or mileage points.
Some credit card companies compute the cash that their customer will receive on an annual basis while some compute the cash that their customers will get back on a monthly basis. A cash back card user may also use the cash earned in paying for the annual fee of the credit card or choose to use the points for payment of the monthly bill.
Frequent Use
The key to getting more points with a cash back card is to simply use it as often as possible. A cash back card certainly has its rewards, but users must also keep in mind the interest rate that the credit card company charges. It may be easy to earn cash back with a cash back card, but meeting the due date on the monthly payments on the card may not be as easy.
Some credit card companies have certain terms and conditions that a customer has to meet and follow in order to get cash back off of their purchases. One of these conditions may be that the customer pays for the full monthly due and not just the minimum amount due to keep earning points.
Most credit card companies give a 1% rebate from purchases made with a cash back card. Some credit card companies give rebates as high as 5%, often as an introductory offer to entice customers into getting their card and eventually switching and leaving their old credit card company behind.
While it may be fun to shop and earn points, a cash back card has the same interest rates as regular credit cards, so don’t get carried away by shopping too much just for the points. Like any other credit card, use it wisely as it is very useful and handy. Use it to splurge on unnecessary items then expect to be in heavy debt afterwards.
Just keep in mind that a cash back card should be used with as much caution like any other credit card should be. The cash back card can be a best friend and a worst enemy, so use it as the need to arise.
