    Credit cards are need of the time and are used by everyone at everywhere. Credit cards are playing importance of our financial friends who help us in our need. But there are a lot of misuses of credit cards. Credit card fraud is the biggest risk which has been maximized due to latest technologies. Today, anybody can make you a victim of fraud or can have a clone of your credit card which will work like originals and so many things.

    Credit card fraud begins with the theft of the physical card of associated data with the card including card account number and other details. It may be stopped by reporting to card service provider company immediately. But if, data is stolen and has not been used by someone, it can’t be traced. The theft of Credit cards data is identified as compromise of cards. It may be use immediately or later so that the thief can run out.

    Card Not Present (CNP) Transaction

    As we know, internet has increased our reach up to the other side of the world. We can sale, purchase or find anything through internet without consuming our time and money. Money transition is also not a problem for business. Just use Card Not Present or CNP transaction and enjoy business. In CNP you have to provide your card details such as card account no., expiry date and other to the second party and he can charge money on behalf of your mail through your credit cards without taking pain. But what would be happened, if someone will steal card details from the website’s server. It may be used anywhere in the world without knowing you. You will about transition after getting your payment statement. Therefore when you are using card through CNP transition, take care some extra precautions to avoid any trouble related to card reader.

    Skimming

    Skimming is another method to steal the credit cards. Skimming is used to get a photocopy of data information of your card using skimmer. Skimmer is an electronic device which can be used in credit card charging machines or ATM machines. When you swipe your card to withdraw or charge money it reads the magnetic strip of card and stores the data in it, which can be read by installer. This technique is frequently used in Europe and America with a hidden camera so that they can record you to pressing your password which is not present on the card’s magnetic strip. Sometimes it is used a wireless devices to trace your card information.

    BIN attach

    Bin attack is the latest technique, where an attacker can get your card’s detail using a generator. Credit cards and other cards are designed and produced in BIN ranges so it is very easy to get them through a generator which can make maximum possible combinations with card number to get 3 or 4 digit security code.

    Fraud through Charge or Spam Mail

    Sometimes you get spam mail with an attractive offer to purchase goods from a vendor. Spammer also mentions that they will accept payment through credit cards only. Sometimes you purchase and provide your details to them.  It is the easiest method to steal a card for financial purpose.
